Cairo Cat Rescue & Rehoming Champions Monthly Newsletter April 2024 featuring - a black Egyptian Shorthair and a rare calico Shirazi

Calling all (friendly) witches!! Are you looking for a familiar? Welcome to our monthly Newsletter for April featuring our Cats of the Month which this time gives details of two of our more exotic residents

ANUBIS

Totally black cats are fairly rare at the Rescue and are usually very popular - not just among witches.

Introducing our goddess ANUBIS who came to us as a kitten two years' ago. She is a stunning black Egyptian Domestic Shorthair. As you can see from our Blog (access below) Domestic Shorthairs come in a variety of colours including tabby, black and white, orange and totally white reflecting their mixed heritage from the street cats of Egypt who have been abandoned through the years. Anubis, like many of our cats, was dumped outside the Rescue with her mother and brother.

She is a very devoted companion and will follow you like a shadow, as well as getting on extremely will with other cats and children. But she will never let you forget she is a goddess.

In other words she's an an ideal family cat for a home without dogs.

She is waiting to find the perfect owner who will worship her and offer her a forever home. As with all our cats awaiting adoption she is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative and prepared to fly.

Will you be the the one who meets with her approval

GAMILA

GAMILA is a three year old Shirazi calico girl who is sassy, cheeky and very eager to get to know you, which usually doesn’t take too long and after a few trips to give you a sniff she just keeps coming back for more. She enjoys her fuss and a good cheek rub and even tries to reach out and grab you, so you don’t leave.

This charming fluffball knows exactly what she wants and would welcome a quiet home where she can find her feet and show off her loving nature. She would probably be OK to live with older teenagers as she will need a calm, considerate home in which to really flourish. Gamila enjoys human company and she is looking for a home that can give her lots of love and affection as once she settles she will became very attached to her human. She would also not mind the company of another non dominant feline to share her home.

As with all Shirazis, she is laid back and extremely affectionate with humans and other cats.

She is now spayed, microchipped and vaccinated and ready to take that next big step

Are you looking for a beautiful girl to give you lots of affection?
