We already showcase our Cats of the Month in our Newsletter but we felt it important to remind you of some of our residents who have now been with us for years. Some may not be as instantly beautiful as Shirazis, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and what they lack in conventional beauty they make up for in personality and resilience. Some bear the scars of a hard life on the streets or were simply abandoned, like Lisa, because they no longer fitted with peoples' lifestyles. All would love a home where they are a very special person. We ask you to take a look again and see whether you, or someone you know, could offer them their forever happy place. If you feel you could then please get in touch by emailing us at
This week we are showcasing a very special pair who are looking for that very special owner who is willing to take two inseparable cats. Are you brave enough to bring that bit of extra joy into your life?
LISA and FRANKIE are two six year-old Egyptian Domestic Semi-Longhairs*. Now you've no doubt heard of Cleopatra and Mark Anthony and Romeo and Juliet? Well, meet Lisa and Frankie.
Lovely Lisa was dumped at the Rescue together with her mum and four siblings after her owner was threatened with divorce unless the cats went! Lisa develops close bonds and has seen two of her past best friends find homes leaving her depressed and sad. She is now bonded to Frankie and this time we are determined that she would not be seperated again and therefore these two must find a home together. Lisa is shy at first but once settled she is loving and affectionate, as is Frankie.
Frankie was found with a huge burn on his side which was treated and is now fully healed. He also needed a full mouth extraction (so no fear of costly dentals in future).
Can you open your heart and home to these two love bugs? They are both good with cats, dogs and humans
If you would love to adopt Lisa and Frankie but circumstances don't permit you can help them by sponsoring them both for a special rate of just £35 a month for the pair. This will provide them with food, shelter and veterinary care and above all keep them together forever. Contact us on the email above and we will explain how to do so. Thank you in advance for considering this.
